We have a network of Training Officers responsible for workplace training and development of staff within their area. Our performance appraisal system covers all members of staff and we encourage and support the development of our staff in managerial, training and specialist subjects.
Also key to delivering effective care is our ability to recruit high quality staff. Our Recruitment and Selection Policy, underpinned by equal opportunities principles, is intended to give us the widest choice of candidate. Our selection processes are challenging but exist to ensure only the highest standards.
In Westcountry Ambulance Service we believe in caring for and listening to those who care for and listen to others.
